If you are in Microsoft certification online courses, I’m sure you’ve heard of the Microsoft Certification for Linux. This is essentially a newer version of the classic exam MS ACL (Administrative Information Control) and is still widely used in many organizations, including the ones that provide paid online training. There is a difference between this and other exams such as the Windows Server 2021 or Windows NT Professional Edition. The exams required for these are more complex and technical, and the questions are harder and more difficult than anything you’ll find on the Microsoft Certified Systems website.

For those who already have these certifications, they’re happy to hear that they can still take the exam for free. But, just because it’s free doesn’t mean it’s not tough! You will need to have some good study habits along with an ability to be able to quickly process and comprehend large amounts of information. So how does one go about preparing to ace an online Microsoft exams for Linux?

The first thing I recommend is taking a MSCONFIG. MSCONFIG is a configuration utility designed for the Linux operating system. You may not have heard of it but it’s actually a critical part of configuration and could end up saving time during the configuration process. Once you have this installed and running, you’ll be able to access your MS 201 Exam from any computer with an Internet connection.

Another good trick is to boot up your virtual machine and use the built-in command prompt that comes with your VPS (virtual private server). This will allow you to boot up the computer without a graphical user interface, just like when you boot up your physical machine. Using your mouse, point to “root” and then click to execute. This will load the root prompt where you’ll be able to do your configuration.

In the root prompt, you’ll be able to find the program that you need to copy and paste into the console prompt. Copy and paste this into the terminal. Once this is copied, you’ll need to restart the system for it to take effect. Once the restarted system restarts, you can start getting into your MS 201 Exam. And with that, you’re ready to do the real exam!

The actual exam can be tricky depending on the question type. Some questions will not give you a multiple choice answer. If this is the case, then you’ll need to do further research about the specific question type. However, if you do your homework, you should be able to get through most of the test. And with that, you’ll ace your exam and get your certification.

Another factor that makes the exam tricky is the format of the questions. Most likely, the questions will all be about the same topic, which means that you have no wiggle room on answering them. With that said, you have to make sure that you study for the exam and get a good grasp on the material. Otherwise, you can just breeze through it and not get the job done. As such, make sure that you learn about the different format as well as the types of questions that will be asked on the exam.

Finally, you should look into taking practice tests. There are plenty of sites on the internet that offer practice tests on Microsoft’s official website. Look around and make sure that you’re getting a realistic assessment of how your skills will do on the exam. By so doing, you’ll have more confidence in yourself and feel more prepared for the real exam. And with that, you’ll ace your exam and get your certificate!
